On resetting the Chrome, all user-configured settings are reverted back to their default values. This includes default startup tabs, Content settings, pinned tabs, default search engine and homepage settings. Along with this, all installed extensions and themes are disabled to boost up browser performance and prevent possible vulnerability associated with them.

To reset your Chrome installation, visit “Settings” page from the Chrome menu and scroll down to the bottom to select the  “+ Show advanced settings”. Again scroll to the bottom and click on the “Reset browser settings” button. This will show up a prompt as shown in the above screenshot. Alternatively, one can enter chrome://settings/resetProfileSettings in the address bar to open the reset prompt directly.
